Privacy policy

This privacy policy contains information about how La Bergère Hospitality Group BV including Townhouse Hotel Maastricht, St. Martenslane Hotel, Qbic Hotel, Kaboom Hotel BV, Hotel Mabi BV, The Green Elephant Hostels BV and Hotel Mariënhage B.V. (hereinafter referred to as ‘LBG HOTELS’) handles the personal data you provide to LBG HOTELS. This privacy policy explains which party is the Controller (party responsible) within the meaning of the Dutch Personal Data Protection Act, which personal data is collected from you as a customer and/or organization, and for which purposes this personal data is collected. It also informs you of the period for which your personal data is retained, your rights in this regard, and how you can exercise these rights.

LBG HOTELS respects the privacy of visitors to the website, recipients of the newsletter, and other data subjects. We ensure that the personal data you provide us with is treated confidentially. Personal data is processed in compliance with the requirements of the Personal Data Protection Act and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We never sell personal data to third parties.

LBG HOTELS processes your personal data when you make use of our services and/or when you provide us with such data yourself. Below is a list of the types of personal data that we process:

  • First name, surname, sex, date of birth, place of birth;

  • Other personal data that you provide yourself, for example through correspondence or by telephone.

Our website and/or services do not have the intention to collect data about website visitors under the age of 16. unless they have permission from their parents or guardians. However, we are unable to check whether visitors are over 16 years old. We recommend that parents or guardians supervise their children’s online activity to prevent their children’s data from being collected without the permission of parents or guardians. If you as a parent or guardian have reason to believe that we have collected the data of someone under the age of 16 years without such permission, please contact us at info@LBGHotels.com and we will then delete the data in question.

LBG HOTELS processes the personal data mentioned above for the following purposes:

  • To process your payment;
  • To send our newsletter and/or advertising;
  • To call you if this is necessary for the implementation of our service;
  • To inform you about changes to our services and products;
  • LBG HOTELS analyses your behaviour on the website in order to improve our website and tailor our range of products and services to your preferences.

LBG HOTELS also processes personal data if we are legally obliged to do so. This includes data that we need for our tax return and our night register. How long we retain personal data for:

For the purpose of the website: One year/twelve months.
Why we collect this personal data: to optimize the offer on the website and to ensure that this offer is focused on the guests and visitors of the website.

Why we collect this personal data: we temporarily store personal data when making bookings. This includes all the information on the form, first name, surname, payment method used, address, etc.
Why we retain the personal data for this period: we consider this term to be reasonable, because after the attempt to make a booking or in the event of a failed booking we have to recover details about the bookings.

For the purpose of the night register: Seven years/84 months.
Why we collect this personal data: for the purpose of our tourist tax return. In connection with a possible audit of the tourist tax by the tax authorities, we will keep the guest administration for seven years.
Why we retain the personal data for this period: this period is prescribed by law.

LBG HOTELS will not sell your personal data to third parties and will only provide them if this is necessary for the implementation of our agreement or in order to comply with a legal obligation. We enter into a processing agreement with the companies that process your data for us in order to ensure the same level of security and confidentiality of your data. LBG HOTELS remains ultimately responsible for this processing.

LBG HOTELS uses functional, analytical, and tracking cookies. A cookie is a small text file that is stored in the browser of your computer, tablet, or smartphone the first time you visit our website. Booking terms and conditions Mabi City Centre Hotel

Terms for reservations up to 5 rooms per night

  • A credit card is required to guarantee your reservation.
  • All reservations are subject to the Uniform Conditions for the Hotel and Catering Industry (UVH).
  • You will receive a payment link to complete the reservation payment. If payment is not received within the specified timeframe in the link, the reservation will be canceled.
  • Flexible reservations can be canceled or modified free of charge up to 24 hours before arrival.
  • We will refund the prepayment amount in such cases.
  • If you modify your reservation within 24 hours of arrival or in case of a no-show, the first night will be charged.
  • A surcharge may apply for rescheduling your reservation if moved to dates with higher room rates. In case of lower rates, no refund will be given.
  • In the case of incorrect rates or availability, obvious errors and mistakes (including printing, typographical errors, or zero rates) are not binding. For example, if a Suite costs an average of €1,000 throughout the year, a rate of €100 qualifies as an obvious error, and the reservation will not be honored.
  • Pets are not allowed.
  • Check-in is available from 3:00 PM, If you arrive earlier, you may store your luggage with us. An earlier check-in can also be reserved at an additional charge (subject to availability).
  • Check-out time is 11:00 AM at the latest
  • Please ensure you vacate your room on time.
  • If you wish to keep your room after 11:00 AM on the day of departure, you can request this at the reception for an additional fee (subject to availability).
  • The city of Maastricht charges a Tourist Tax of €5.68 per person per night.
  • By staying at Mabi City Centre Hotel, you invest in a sustainable future.
  • We invest in sustainable solutions and charge a small contribution for this, listed on your confirmation as ‘Green Fee.’
  • This amounts to €1.57 per person per night.
  • Together, the Tourist Tax and Green Fee amount to €7.25 per person per night.
  • For groups of 5 or more rooms per night, the group cancellation conditions as per the Uniform Conditions for the Hotel and Catering Industry apply.

Payment terms

  • We require a 50% deposit at the time of booking.
  • The remaining 50% is due no later than 3 weeks prior to arrival.

Cancellation policy

When a reservation for hotel accommodation, with or without breakfast, is made for a group, the following cancellation terms apply:

  • For cancellations more than 3 months before the start date of the hospitality agreement (referred to as the “start date”), no fee is payable by the customer.
  • For cancellations more than 2 months before the start date, the customer must pay 15% of the reservation value.
  • For cancellations more than 1 month before the start date, the customer must pay 35% of the reservation value.
  • For cancellations more than 14 days before the start date, the customer must pay 60% of the reservation value.
  • For cancellations more than 7 days before the start date, the customer must pay 85% of the reservation value.
  • For cancellations 7 days or less before the start date, the customer must pay 100% of the reservation value.

Since the introduction of the new European directive PSD2, it is no longer possible for hotels to charge credit cards. When you make a reservation that requires a prepayment or guarantee, we will send an email with a payment link to make the payment directly to us. Only when payment is made is the reservation final.

When you make a reservation that requires payment prior to arrival, you will receive an e-mail containing a link to make the payment to us. Only when payment is made via the payment link is the reservation final. If payment is not made, we will send a reminder to make payment. After the payment deadline has passed, we automatically cancel the reservation.

Our cancellation policy is unchanged: for flexible reservations, it is possible to cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before arrival and get a refund. With a non-refundable reservation, it is not possible to get a refund in case of a cancellation.

All payment information is securely stored in accordance with legal requirements with Ingenico, the transaction processor used by LBG Hotels.

A reservation is not confirmed until the amount is paid. In the case of a non-refundable reservation, this means that payment is due immediately. Flexible reservations can be paid up to 24 hours before arrival. This replaces charging the credit card directly.

Payment can be made by iDeal, ECMC, Visa or American Express.

When the amount differs, the reservation did not yet include the tourist tax and green fee. This is then added to the amount in the payment link.

We send the payment link using PayByLink, the service we partner with to make payments. PayByLink offers a secure payment solution as a replacement for credit card charging.
