Those who love delicious and exclusive food know that there are a number of truly excellent places in Maastricht to spoil yourself culinary. With the luxurious Beluga restaurant at the top of the list, people from all over the Netherlands and beyond flock to Maastricht for an unadulterated evening of delicious and special food. But did you know that Beluga is not the only place in Maastricht where Michelin has expressed its appreciation? We put together a number of luxurious and very good restaurants for you. And at all restaurants: make a reservation! Because gourmands know where to find these places.

2 stars | Beluga Loves You

Even when chef Hans van Wolde handed over the baton of Beluga to Servais Tielman in 2019, that did not affect the quality. Beluga has been on the list of the best restaurants in the Netherlands for years. And rightly so, because everything is right here. And that yields no fewer than two Michelin stars! The restaurant is located on the ground floor of a building designed by Jo Coenen at Plein 1922 in the modern Céramique district. From the restaurant you have a view of the Maas and the old city center of Maastricht. If you have time for that, because the food at Beluga is a picture, of excellent quality and inspired by the best that South Limburg has to offer.

1 star | Tout à fait

One star less, but just as delicious is Tout à Fait. This beautiful business has been in the middle of the old center of Maastricht since 1999. Patron-Cuisinier Bart Ausems received a Michelin star in 2002, not to relinquish it. Get to know the traditional kitchen and be surprised by Ausems’ modern twist. Do you fancy the stars, but less of an entire dinner? Then consider making a reservation for lunch. A three-course lunch is already available from € 35 per person.

Hint | Bib Gourmands!

In popular parlance, the Bib Gourmand is sometimes referred to as half a star. It’s not, but the confusion makes sense. In addition to the stars, Michelin also awards the Bib’s every year: an honorable mention for restaurants with an excellent price-quality ratio. Even more specific: a three-course choice menu with a minimum choice of two dishes per course that cannot cost more than € 37 per person. Maastricht also has a wonderful list of restaurants with a Bib Gourmand. We put them together for you:
